Top 8% of schools for Phonics!
Today we received a letter from the Minister of State for Schools Nick Gibb to congratulate us on our outstanding phonics results for 2017! We achieved a 95% pass rate putting us in the top 8% in the country! Well done to all the KS1/EY staff in school who worked really hard with all the children to get this result. As the letter says 'your success in teaching phonics means your pupils are developing a firm foundation in reading from which they can become increasingly fluent and develop a lifelong love of reading'.
