Our winning team from school also won at RHS and have been invited to a national competition! Well done girls!!!!
Remembrance
We were invited this morning to visit our church to look at the flower festival which is in place to commemorate the centenary of the end of World War one. It was a very powerful exhibition.
We were lucky enough to be invited to the cemetery in East Bergholt by the Royal British Legion for a service led by Rev Stephne to remember those from our village who had given their lives for our freedom during World War One. We visited the graves of the men and placed poppy bowls that we had made in class. We have left them there as a lasting memory.
War Poetry
In preparation for our visit to the war graves in the village on Thursday, we looked at poems written during the first world war. We used these as inspiration to write our own. We are very proud of the outcome. Well done Year 6!
Cross Curricular Writing
In year 6 we enjoy writing in a variety of different ways. We especially enjoy writing about our topic. This half term our topic has been the USA and we looked at Yellowstone National Park as part of this. Have a look at our fantastic writing below.

27.09.18 - Science
We were looking at the human circulatory system in science this week. We took advantage of the lovely warm weather to practice being blood cells and moving around the body carrying oxygen to where it was needed and heading back to collect more oxygen before heading out around the body again.
