• PCSO School Visit

  We were very lucky on Monday to have the local PCSO visit out school to discuss how to stay safe on the roads. The children shared their knowledge and asked questions on how to keep themselves safe.

• Clare Moore visits our school

  Today we were lucky enough to have an assembly and workshop from Clare Moore a highly talented concert pianist. The children loved it and I hope they were inspired as I was.

  

• SNOW!

  The snow came! Some of our children will have never experienced snow so we went out for 5 minutes to experience it and make some memories!

  

• New Cheerleading Club!

  There is a new club on offer for KS2 girls - Cheerleading! Here are some photos of the girls having a go at it in the assembly today, letters have been sent home and are available from the school office.

  

• Severe weather procedure

  Arrangements for severe weather and potential school closure

   

  In the unlikely event of severe weather (snow) which means that the school needs to close, the following will happen:

   

   

  • The scrolling bar of the website will say 'School closed' and give the date.
  • The Office will send an email to all parents via parentmail to say the school is closed.
  • The Suffolk School Closures website will be updated with the closure information

  From this, the radio and local press will provide updates.

  Please don't contact radio stations or the school directly, there may be no-one at school to take the call and all the information will be on the above forms of communication.

   

  We will make every effort to stay open but there are times when schools need to close partly because many of the staff live in outlying areas and it would not be safe for them to travel to work especially if the police advise against travel.

• Registering for a school place

  If you want to send your child to our FAB school you will need to go through Suffolk County Council School Admissions. The closing date for admission applications for Sept 2017 reception classes is January 15th. Get your application in ASAP ! See here.

  I hope you all had a great Christmas and welcomed the new year in with more celebrations! The calendar on the website is already updated with many events from now until July 2017 - have a look and update your google calendar with all our events. More will be added as we go along.
