Understanding Year 6 assessments
The London Trip
On Friday we all went to London, the day was showery but during the river cruise the sun came out as you will see. We had a fantastic time, the children were all well behaved and kept up with Mrs Mitchell on the route march around the sights. Have a look at the photos.
Sailing on the Orwell
Skyping France!
This half term year 6 have been lucky enough to be able to Skype their French pen pals. They have been corresponding by letter over the year. We have exchanged photos but nothing prepared them for being able to talk to their partner. Our year 6 pupils were asked questions in English by their pen pals and we had to ask questions in french back. They were very nervous but everyone took part. It was a fantastic experience and we hope to repeat it again next year with Year 5. Huge thank-you to Mrs Page for organising such a brilliant experience.
Music at Snape Maltings
Some of year 6 went to Snape Maltings to join with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. They played their violins along with hundreds of other children. An amazing experience!

Year 6 working hard in the Spring term!
Design and Technology 11th December
On Friday we spent the day completing our D.T. project. We have been looking at different famous landmarks across the UK such as the Angel of the North. We used this as inspiration to create our own structure to represent our local area. We enjoyed using the saws to cut the wood and the hammer and nails to try and attach them together. A fantastic day.

Last week year 6 made biscuits. We started with a basic recipe and tried adding different flavours.
We were very impressed with the results. So much so that we have chosen a final recipe which we will use to make the biscuits for our stall at the Christmas fair. Come along early we're bound to sell out.
