At East Bergholt CEVC Primary School, our Christian vision —
“I have come that they might have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10) —
shapes every aspect of school life. Our Faith Council plays a central role in ensuring that this vision is lived out, understood and experienced by the whole school community.
The Faith Council is made up of Year 6 pupils who demonstrate commitment to our Christian values and a desire to serve others. The group provides meaningful pupil leadership in matters of faith, spirituality and worship. Members represent the views of their peers in relation to prayer, collective worship, church services and the spiritual life of the school.
Through regular meetings, Faith Councillors reflect on how effectively our vision is being lived out and consider ways to strengthen opportunities for spiritual growth. They are encouraged to think deeply, speak confidently and act with integrity as they promote our school’s ethos and Christian distinctiveness.
Faith Councillors:
Champion and articulate our Christian vision and values.

Their work reflects our belief that every child is valued and has a voice. Through this leadership role, pupils grow in confidence, responsibility and spiritual understanding.
Evaluating and developing opportunities for reflection and prayer.
