A whole-school celebration of maths through curiosity, creativity and collaboration
Number Day was a special and enjoyable day in school, focused on developing pupils’ confidence and enjoyment in maths. Throughout the day, children engaged in number and maths-based learning that helped them practise key skills while having fun.
Pupils in Years 2 to 6 took part in a Times Tables Rock Stars tournament, applying their recall skills with enthusiasm. The winners were announced in our Celebration Assembly and were awarded certificates and badges.
In the afternoon, pupils worked in mixed-age classes from 1:30–2:30pm, taking part in a range of practical and creative maths activities. These included number hunts, art inspired by maths, designing symbols to represent numbers, games such as bingo and exploring maths through music. The sessions promoted collaboration, mathematical thinking and positive attitudes to learning. Well done to all of our pupils.
