School Ambassadors

Our Year 6 pupils are invited to take on the important and prestigious role of School Ambassador, serving the school community in a position of trust and responsibility.

Ambassadors play a vital part in the life of our school. They welcome visitors, conduct school tours, support new pupils as they settle in and act as exemplary role models for younger children. Through their service, they actively live out our school’s Christian values of perseverance, courage, trust, truthfulness, generosity, compassion, forgiveness, service, respect, justice and thankfulness.

In line with our school vision, Ambassadors demonstrate leadership rooted in service. They understand that leadership is not about status, but about responsibility, dignity and putting others first. They show maturity, integrity and a deep respect for every member of our school community.

Selection Process

Year 6 pupils wishing to be considered for this role complete a written application explaining why they would make an effective Ambassador and how they model our school values. Shortlisted candidates attend an interview with Mrs Sampson and Mrs Tuttlebee.

This process develops pupils’ confidence, communication skills and ability to articulate their understanding of leadership, responsibility and the school’s vision.

The Role in Action

Appointed Ambassadors:

  • Set exceptionally high standards in behaviour and conduct.

  • Demonstrate confidence, resilience and responsibility.

  • Promote the school at a range of events, speaking clearly and thoughtfully to different audiences.

  • Contribute to school development by sharing pupil voice and representing their peers.

  • Support inclusion by ensuring all pupils feel welcomed, valued and respected.

Through this role, pupils develop character, aspiration and a strong sense of moral purpose. They learn how to be courageous advocates for others and how to lead with compassion and integrity.

Ambassadors are highly regarded within the school community and are trusted to uphold and champion our vision in their words and actions.

Only Year 6 pupils may be appointed to this role, making it both a significant honour and an important responsibility at the culmination of their primary school journey.
