School meals

At East Bergholt CEVC Primary School, we believe lunchtime should be one of the highlights of the day. We are proud to work in partnership with Lunchtime Inc., supported by our wonderful school cooks, Lorraine and Charlotte, who prepare and serve delicious meals for our children each day.

It Starts with Good Ingredients

Our meals begin with carefully selected, quality ingredients, including:

  • Red Tractor assured meat

  • Free range eggs

  • MSC sourced fish

All food is freshly prepared on site using ingredients from trusted suppliers. Families can feel confident that children are enjoying nutritious, high-quality meals that help them grow, thrive and learn.

Lorraine and Charlotte take great pride in preparing food with care and attention, creating meals that not only taste great but look inviting too.

Freshly Cooked with Care

Lunchtime Inc. supports our kitchen team with specialist development chefs and trainers, ensuring that our school cooks have the skills, knowledge and inspiration to create fabulous tasting food that is beautifully presented and served with a smile.

The kitchen team also work hard to carefully manage allergens and medical diets, ensuring that every child’s needs are met safely and thoughtfully. This means our school can focus on children’s development and education, knowing that lunchtime provision is in expert hands.

Caring for Our World

We value our catering team enormously and are committed to responsible, sustainable practice. Together, we work hard to:

  • Reduce food miles where possible

  • Minimise single-use plastics

  • Promote recycling initiatives

  • Work with suppliers who prioritise sustainability

We believe caring for creation is part of our responsibility as a school community.

Living Our Christian Values

At East Bergholt CEVC Primary School, lunchtime is about more than food. It is about thankfulness, service and community.

We encourage children to pause and be thankful for the food they receive and for the people who prepare it. Lorraine and Charlotte model service through their daily care and dedication. Lunchtime is also a time when children sit together, share conversation, practise good manners and strengthen friendships — living out our values of respect, compassion and community.

Lunchtime is a time of nourishment in every sense — physically, socially and spiritually.
