Parent Voice

Working Together in Partnership

At East Bergholt CEVC Primary School, we believe that the strongest outcomes for children are achieved when school and home work together in partnership.

We value the views, experiences and ideas of our parents and carers and recognise the important role they play in helping us to shape and continually improve our school. Listening to our community is an important part of who we are and reflects our commitment to ensuring that every member of our school community is valued, heard and able to flourish.

Parent Forum

For the past three years, we have held Parent Forum meetings to provide opportunities for parents and school leaders to discuss school developments, share ideas and contribute to school improvement.

We would like to thank all parents and carers who have attended these meetings and contributed their thoughts, suggestions and feedback. Their contributions have helped to inform many aspects of school life and have supported our ongoing commitment to providing the very best education and opportunities for our children.

Introducing Parent Voice

From September 2026, we will be moving to a new Parent Voice model.

Following a review of attendance at Parent Forum meetings, we recognise that many parents and carers are unable to attend meetings due to work commitments, childcare arrangements and other responsibilities. We want to ensure that every family has the opportunity to share their views, not just those who are able to attend meetings in person.

Each half-term, parents and carers will be invited to complete a short Parent Voice survey.

The survey will provide opportunities to:

  • Tell us what is working well.
  • Share suggestions for improvement.
  • Raise questions for school leaders.
  • Contribute ideas for future developments.
  • Provide feedback on specific aspects of school life.

This approach will enable a wider range of parents and carers to contribute their views and help ensure that feedback reflects the experiences and perspectives of our whole school community.

You Said, We Did

We are committed to listening and responding to the views of our community.

Following each Parent Voice survey, we will publish a summary of the key themes that have emerged, along with any actions taken as a result. This will help parents and carers to see how their feedback contributes to the ongoing development of our school.

We hope this approach will strengthen communication, encourage greater participation and ensure that parental views continue to play an important role in school improvement.

Our Commitment

As a Church school, we believe that everyone is made in the image of God and should be treated with dignity, respect and compassion. We are committed to nurturing a strong and inclusive community where every individual is valued, every voice is heard and all are enabled to flourish.

Working in partnership with parents, carers, governors, staff and the wider community helps us to live out our Christian vision and values. Together, we strive to create a school where children and adults are supported to grow, learn and flourish, and where strong relationships enable us to serve one another and the wider community.

We look forward to continuing to work alongside our parents and carers as we seek to provide the very best opportunities for every child at East Bergholt CEVC Primary School.
