Our Eco-Council is a group of pupils, led by Mr Addison our Eco-Coordinator. They lead the Eco-Schools programme in our school. The Eco-Council meet every two weeks, on a Wednesday afternoon, to plan and deliver environmental projects, and inspire their schoolmates and the wider school community. Eco-Council members are democratically elected from each year group across the school.
Our Eco-Council completes an Environmental Review of the school to identify environmental areas for improvement, and opportunities for making the school more environmentally friendly.
Following the Environmental Review, the Eco-Council makes an action plan to look at projects and actions they would like to deliver across the academic year. The Eco-Council monitor and evaluate the projects in their Action Plan using before and after pictures, graphs and charts, or diary entries.
