Today the School and Eco council have been to Wiston mill to help with the conservation of the river Stour. We learnt about the importance of the river to the local environment, how it has changed in recent years and the ways that we can actively help to protect it. We then spent some time planting 20 trees that would naturally be found in the area and support the ecosystem. We had a fantastic time and learnt lots of new skills.
As a School Council this year we have decided that we will support RSPB Flatford in their efforts to conserve the range of wildlife they have in the area. As a school we are delighted be supporting such a wonderful local charity and will be working closely with them throughout the year.
